Kate Ryan Linens was founded in 2011 by Kristin Rose with the support and fellow vision of her husband Dan Rose. A true family business, the name “Kate Ryan” derived from Dan and Kristin’s daughters name, Katelynn Ryanne. The company came to fruition through the family’s combined experience in several areas where this type of expertise and passion is needed to own and operate a successful event rental company. The business has grown and evolved over the past several years into our new name-Kate Ryan Event Rentals-reflecting the fact that we offer so much more now than just beautiful linen. We have recently obtained our WBE through the City of Tampa.
Kristin LOVES beautiful and unique fabrics & decor. Kristin’s degree is in Interior Design and while attending the International Academy of Design she was elected the student President for the American Society of Interior Designers. Prior to founding Kate Ryan Event Rentals she worked as the Visual Merchandise Manager and Buyer for several Ethan Allen Design Centers in the Tampa Bay area where she managed and designed over 30k sq ft of display space. This experience has become invaluable to forecasting trends, purchasing to meet our local demand and effectively managing a growing -design forward- inventory.
Kristin’s husband Dan is originally from the New England area and moved to Tampa to obtain his degree in Business Administration from the University of Tampa. Dan previously owned and operated a commercial laundry processing facility where he rented restaurant and hotel linen as well as a dry cleaning drop location. This experience gave him a vast knowledge of the linen rental and dry cleaning process. Dan is not a daily part of the business but his laundry and business experience has made him a valued silent (well perhaps not so silent-lol) asset to our KR team.
Their previously mentioned daughter has been a part of the business from day one and although Katelynn left Tampa for a few years for college she and graduated last year from Florida Gulf Coast University with her Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management. Prior to graduation Katelynn gained hospitality work experience with The Colony Bay Club, Angelina’s Ristorante Fine Italian Dining and The Yacht Starship Dining Cruises & Events where she worked as an assistant to the CEO. She has recently become a member of The Junior League of Tampa Bay and has joined the company full time as the Director of Operations and we couldn’t be more excited to have her back!
Katelynn’s brothers -Dominick and Hayden- are the youngest members of the family business and although their schedules are busy with school, friends and hockey they already work with the business after school as excited junior rental sorters.
